EN ENERGY Completes Commissioning of a 1MW Natural Gas and Energy Storage Project for EV Charging in Los Angeles

EN ENERGY Technology recently dispatched its engineering team to Los Angeles, California, to complete the on-site commissioning of a 1MW Huachai-Deutz Natural Gas Generator integrated with a battery energy storage system and commercial EV charging stations.

Designed for Commercial New Energy Applications.The Los Angeles project combines:

• 1MW Huachai-Deutz Natural Gas Generator

• Battery Energy Storage System

• Commercial EV Charging Infrastructure

The generator supplies stable on-site electricity, while the battery system manages peak demand and supports rapid load response for EV charging.

The project represents a modern distributed energy solution designed specifically for the new energy sector. Instead of relying solely on the public utility grid, the integrated system combines on-site Natural Gas power generation, intelligent battery storage, and high-efficiency charging equipment to provide stable and continuous electricity for electric vehicles.

The core power generation unit is equipped with a 1MW Huachai-Deutz Natural Gas Generator Set, selected for its high efficiency, stable performance, low emissions, and suitability for continuous commercial operation. Working together with the battery storage system, the generator helps optimize energy utilization, improve load management, and ensure uninterrupted charging services during periods of peak electricity demand or unexpected grid fluctuations.

More importantly, this project demonstrates how distributed Natural Gas power generation can effectively complement renewable energy infrastructure by providing reliable backup power and enhancing the overall resilience of charging networks.
