EN Energy Technologies has officially commissioned a 19.8MW oilfield associated gas combined heat and power (CHP) project in Xinjiang, China. Currently operating at full performance, this decentralized power plant converts raw flare gas into high-value continuous electricity and usable thermal energy for local oilfield extraction operations.
Engineering Highlights & System ArchitectureTo withstand harsh desert environments and varying gas quality, the project deploys 18 units of ED1200NGB gas generator sets, each driven by heavy-duty Huachai-Deutz HC6V132G gas engines. Designed for extreme flexibility:
Modular Containerization: The system features customized containerized housing with a 4-unit parallel architecture in the primary enclosure to ensure seamless load dispatching.
Integrated CHP Energy Recovery: Tailored waste heat recovery units capture exhaust and jacket water heat, supplying process heat back to oil production facilities while drastically lowering site carbon emissions.
Proven Commercial ValueBy capturing underutilized associated petroleum gas (APG), the project enables the operator to drastically cut grid reliance and eliminate field gas flaring.
